Project Description

Excel Electric was proud to be part of the Glencoe Park District’s major facility improvement project, which included construction of a new Park Maintenance Facility along with upgrades to the adjacent Takiff Park ballfields. The project replaced five aging buildings – ranging from 40 to 95 years old – with a single, energy-efficient facility designed to improve the Park District’s operations and support the community for years to come.

As the electrical contractor, Excel Electric provided the electrical infrastructure and systems required to support the new maintenance facility. Our work included power distribution, interior and exterior lighting, lighting controls, equipment connections, site electrical infrastructure, and associated electrical systems throughout the new building.

The project also included significant improvements to the ballfields adjacent to the Takiff Center. Excel Electric completed the electrical infrastructure associated with the new sports field lighting system, including underground conduit systems, wiring, grounding, and coordination with Musco Sports Lighting. Our team supported the installation of the new light pole foundations and completed the electrical connections necessary for a reliable, efficient field lighting system.

The combination of the new maintenance facility and Takiff Park improvements represents a substantial investment in Glencoe’s recreational and operational infrastructure. The completed project provides the Park District with modern facilities, improved field conditions, upgraded sports lighting, and electrical systems designed for long-term performance.
